Most of what shows up when you search for addiction treatment is advertising. We are a Houston 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We charge one flat fee of $500, we take no commission from any facility, and our only client is you.
Why the search results cannot answer this question
Choosing treatment is nothing like booking a hotel, but that is how the internet makes you shop for it. Rankings are driven by marketing budgets. Photos show pools and lobbies. Call centers are often paid per admission, which means the person answering has a financial interest in where you end up.
None of that tells you whether the clinical program fits the situation in front of you. A facility with a beautiful campus can have a licensing lapse, a six-week waitlist, or no capacity to treat a co-occurring mental health condition.
What we actually check
- The clinically appropriate level of care: detox, residential, PHP, IOP, or outpatient
- Current state licensing and accreditation, verified directly
- Credentialed clinical staff and genuine dual-diagnosis capability
- Real payer acceptance, including private-pay and out-of-network options
- Real wait times and real capacity, not what the brochure says
- Fit with work schedule, family obligations, and transportation
How the $500 works
Private placement services typically charge $2,500 to $10,000 or more. Our flat fee covers three things: professional review of your completed questionnaire with follow-up where the details matter, independent research and vetting of facilities against your specific situation, and placement support through admission, including warm handoffs to admissions teams and help with insurance questions.
The ClearPath questionnaire itself is free to complete, and the level-of-care guidance it produces is yours to keep whether or not you engage us.
Where to start
The questionnaire takes about fifteen minutes. There is no commitment, and nothing you share is passed to anyone without your written permission.
